How to disassemble washing machine Whirlpool AWO12563

I have this Whirlpool AWO12563 since 2003, and I decided to take a look inside of it for inspection and cleaning.

First of all - disconnect machine from AC power and water line. We do not need surprising fountains and electric shocks, do we? ;)
To remove top cover unscrew three screws from back side of the machine (marked with green arrows) and pull top cover backwards.
To remove front panel first remove washing powder tray. It covers two screws in narrow holes - so you'll need really narrow 5.5mm socket wrench. Than you'll need to release all latches holding the front panel. To give you an idea where those latches are - see next picture.
All latches except 1 & 2 are easy to unlatch. To unlatch 1 & 2 you should use long narrow tool, like tweezers. You also may need a flashlight. I accessed these latches through holes, shown below.
Then using T6 screwdriwer remove all screws holding main board. Note that turning knob selector driving some gears and switch at the board so you have to be mindful of positions all of these. Better to set turning knob to "off" position and refer to pictures following.
The tricky thing is to disassemble turning knob. It consists of three different parts latched to each other and to front panel. Latches marked 3 are holding the knob to front panel. And the parts of the knob are shown below.

Now you may clean turning knob, buttons and display protective glass.
You also should check driving belt, hoses and seals for signs of degradation or leakage. Some washing machines suffer a defect with water distribution mechanism (caused by vibration).
Do not forget to connect all you disconnected earlier while assembling the machine back! :)
